Milna is operated by Find Analogy LLC (“Milna,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
Milna helps people capture, save, and share personal stories, memories, and voice notes. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
We collect information when you create an account, record or save content in the app, contact us for support, and as you use the app on your device. We may collect:
Account information. Your name, email address, login information, and basic profile details.
Content you create. Voice recordings, transcripts, written responses, prompts, stories, memories, photos, and other content you choose to save or share.
People you add. When you add someone to send a story to, we save the name and phone number you enter. If you pick from your phone's contacts, Milna reads your contacts on your device so you can choose someone, and saves only the person you select. We do not upload your contact list. Milna does not text or call the people you add. When you send a story, the message opens in your own Messages or WhatsApp and you send it.
Usage information. App activity, device information, app version, crash reports, diagnostic data, and basic analytics.
Support messages. If you contact us, your name, email address, and the content of your message.
2. How we use information
We use this information to:
• Provide and improve Milna
• Create and manage your account
• Save and organize your stories
• Let you share stories with people you choose
• Choose which prompts to show you
• Respond to support requests
• Review reports of misuse or harmful content
• Improve app performance and reliability
• Understand how people use Milna
• Communicate with you about product updates, early access, and community news
• Comply with legal obligations
3. Your stories and voice recordings
Milna is built around personal storytelling. Your voice recordings and stories may be personal or sensitive depending on what you choose to share.
We do not sell your personal stories, voice recordings, or private family content. We do not use your private stories for advertising.
We may process your content when needed to operate Milna, provide support, improve safety, use app features you request, comply with law, or with your permission.
4. Sharing information
We may share information:
• With people you choose to share content with
• With service providers who help us run Milna. Today those are Supabase (database, file storage, and authentication), Apple (sign in and push notifications), Expo (app updates and push delivery), Vercel (web hosting), PostHog (product analytics), and OpenAI (turning voice recordings into text and translations). These providers are contractually required to protect your information to the same standard we do, and to use it only to provide services to Milna. OpenAI does not use your content to train its models and does not keep your audio.

5. AI
Milna uses a speech-to-text provider (currently OpenAI) to turn voice recordings into text and, when a recording is not in English, to translate it. Only the audio file and the question it answers are sent. The provider does not keep your audio or train on it. The transcript is stored with the recording and deleted with it.
6. Data retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide Milna, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and improve the service.
You can request deletion of your account or personal information in the app where available, or by emailing hello@meetmilna.com.
7. Your choices
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at hello@meetmilna.com.
8. Children’s privacy
Milna is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information to Milna, contact us at hello@meetmilna.com.
9. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information. However, no system is completely secure.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the effective date above.
